Traditional River Rafting on the Dunajec

On traditionally built, wooden rafts tourists are taken down the river, which flows through a deep, winding canyon in The Pieniny National Park. The Dunajec is a slow flowing river that changes its direction six times, cutting its way through limestone mountains that climb up to five hundred meters above the water table.

The Pieniny Mountains at the Polish-Slovakian border, are not spectacularly big; the main ridge is less than 30 km long and the range is 3-4km wide. However, in such a small area there is an exeptional variety of geological and botanical forms. This is why the Pieniny are believed to be one of the most picturesque corners of Poland and one of principal natural rarities of Europe.

This trip on a traditional raft down the gorge of the Dunajec is an unforgettable and relaxing way to experience the park as you are gently  guided down the river.
